Immocontact – Important Message

Dear Real Estate Brokers,

Centris issued a statement this Thursday, March 12, and many of you have reached out with legitimate questions. It is therefore important for us to provide several clarifications.

Immocontact has been serving Quebec real estate brokers since 1994 and will continue to do so for a long time to come; our platform was developed with decades of expertise and a unique understanding of the Quebec real estate market. No request to stop our services has been made to any court quite the contrary. Our contract with Centris was terminated by Centris on October 28, with an effective date of May 1, 2026. Starting on that date, we will offer Immocontact services directly to all Quebec brokers, without any interruption and without any loss of data, just as we did long before Centris even existed.

Regarding the legal aspect, we have been forced to initiate judicial proceedings to protect our intellectual property, as we allege that Centris unfortunately engaged in software reverse-engineering without our knowledge, contrary to the law. These proceedings may take several years. Once again, no service cuts will be experienced by brokers who wish to continue using our services. If Centris chooses to respect your choice of technological tools, we are prepared to keep the links from the Centris Space to Immocontact active. However, regardless of Centris's decision in this matter, other quick and easy ways to access Immocontact will be activated in the coming weeks.

Good news for Quebec brokers! For several years, Centris had asked us not to activate certain features that are already functional in all real estate boards outside of Quebec. We are pleased to finally offer you these new features in the coming weeks and will keep you updated shortly.

We sincerely regret if today’s communications have created a sense of instability. Rest assured that we are here to answer all your questions.
